Obama's CIA Director nominee, John Brennan, Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and Assistant to the President. Brennan was with the CIA for 25 years in Near East and South Asia as an analyst, station chief in Saudi Arabia, and as director of the National Counterterrorism Center. Brennan began his career with the CIA in 1980 after he received a Master of Arts in government with a concentration in Middle Eastern studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980.
Hardly a smoking gun, but it is easy to see the connection between Obama, Pakistan, and the arming of the Mujahedeen rebels of Afghanistan which began in 1980.
